Content Manager and SEO Lead Internal Job Description — Day Translations and Day Interpreting Employment: Full-time, dedicated position Location: Remote Reports to: CEO or designated marketing leader Schedule: Agreed working hours with consistent overlap with US Eastern Time Purpose of the Role Own the content strategy, production, and publication for the Day Translations and Day Interpreting websites, while leading the work needed to improve search rankings, relevant organic traffic, qualified inquiries, and customer acquisition. Content management is the primary responsibility. This includes managing writers, improving existing pages, organizing the release of new content, and ensuring everything published is accurate, useful, optimized, and designed to convert visitors into customers. This is a hands-on management role. The person must be able to research, write, edit, optimize, and publish content personally while coordinating writers, SEO contributors, designers, and developers. 1. Content Strategy and Planning Own the content strategy and editorial calendar for both websites, with clear priorities, deadlines, assigned owners, and publishing schedules. Identify which service pages, industry pages, articles, case studies, and other resources will contribute most to business growth. Manage homepage content and ensure it clearly communicates our services, credibility, and value to prospective customers. Plan new content around customer needs, search intent, relevant keywords, and business priorities. Maintain a content inventory showing which pages need to be created, updated, consolidated, or removed. Coordinate overlapping topics between the two websites so each brand has a clear purpose and distinct content. Take ownership of the content needed for website redesigns and new page launches. 2. Writer and Editorial Management Recruit, evaluate, assign, and manage content writers and editors. Assess whether existing writers meet our standards and identify additional talent when needed. Involve qualified translators, interpreters, and internal specialists when their expertise can improve content. Give writers clear assignments covering the audience, purpose, keywords, structure, internal links, calls to action, sources, and deadline. Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, natural American English, brand consistency, and persuasive value. Provide specific feedback and ensure revisions are completed promptly. Personally rewrite or improve content when needed to maintain quality and keep publication moving. Maintain consistent editorial standards across both brands. 3. Content Publication and Website Management Manage each piece of content from initial assignment through editing, expert review, design, SEO checks, approval, and publication. Coordinate with designers and developers to ensure pages are attractive, readable, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate. Publish content through the content management system and verify that live pages display correctly. Check headings, links, images, metadata, formatting, and calls to action before and after publication. Maintain a consistent publishing pace agreed with leadership. Follow up on delayed assignments and resolve bottlenecks. Ensure published information remains accurate as services, technology, and business priorities change. 4. SEO Strategy and Execution Own the SEO improvement plan for both websites and maintain a prioritized list of actions. Conduct keyword research, competitor research, content audits, and search-intent analysis. Map target keywords and topics to appropriate pages. Improve titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image descriptions, and page structure.
